All My Struggles

I'm a 65-year-old female, still working full-time and struggling through everything.

I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, peripheral artery disease, coronary artery disease, diabetes, COPD, both bronchitis and emphysema, with an overlap of asthma; a brain tumor and a brain aneurysm. Oh, and I am a cancer survivor — had breast cancer 2 years ago.

Making the best of every day

And I still feel blessed every single day the Lord wakes me up again. I try to not dwell on all my problems, I honestly don't think I could. I would never feel like doing anything if I kept all that in my mind.

There are some days that I feel overwhelmed, but I still work 8-5 Monday thru Friday, and I still do housework and cook, although my husband tries to do everything for me.

Life is short

Life is short and time is shorter. So I try to make the best of every day that I am here and let the people in my life know that I am still here for them too.

My mother and dad died from heart disease (mom also had breast cancer). My sister has had a stent in her arteries.

All we can do is...

I know that I have a lot more to face with cardiovascular disease. I have 5 stents in my legs and previously had my heart tested, and now I show 25% blockage. I have had a heart attack while I was put to sleep for a lung biopsy.

But all we can do is live each day the best we can.

Sorry for rambling on, but thanks for listening.
