I have CAD and I am also on dialysis so mostly follow a renal friendly diet. I've recently looked into the heart healthy diet and found there are some things that work for one but not the other. It's rather frustrating.

I know which foods are high potassium or phosphorus and avoid those. I follow my labs which are done every month in the center. I was concerned about oatmeal but asked the dietician and she said it was okay.

if you do the rotisserie chicken try and remove the skin to avoid additional fat. I don't cook a lot but found making chicken in a skillet with olive oil and salt free seasonings to be rather easy.
