What are barriers to fitness?

Fitness routines are often important to overall health, however they are not always easy to maintain regularly with a chronic condition. Tell us: what are the barriers to your fitness routines? How do you over come those obstacles?

  1. Exercise-related challenges might be personal (such as a lack of time, energy, or motivation), physical (such as an injury or health issues), environmental (such as expense, a lack of facilities, or bad weather), or social/emotional (such as a lack of support or a fear of being judged). The first step to reaching fitness objectives is recognizing and resolving these typical obstacles.

    1. Thank you for joining in the conversation. Have you personally experienced any of these challenges? Have you found a way to overcome them? This topic has been covered well in an article written by one of our medical writers. All the best, Kathy (Team member)

  2. Barriers to fitness are obstacles that make it hard to be physically active, including personal issues like lack of time, energy, and motivation; environmental factors such as a lack of safe facilities or poor weather; cost-related issues like equipment and gym fees; and psychological barriers such as fear of injury or embarrassment
