Test Stress Tips

Sometimes tests can be stressful, be it getting blood drawn or waiting for the results to come back. How do you manage your stress and anxieties during medical tests?

  1. I try and occupy my time with other things until my test results come back. Most of the time I see them through my patient portal before the doctor does.

Only nice thing with my Echocardiograms is that I get it done, and my cardiologist reads it when he comes to me for my follow up appointment within an hour after having it done.

    1. Hi , I found that to be helpful with the echos as well! I would usually have them done in the morning and then my doctor would read them at my appointment in the afternoon. My doctor was very familiar with my past results, and often had a better interpretation to share with me than what was revealed on the impression.
