Chest pain and profuse sweating that woke me from sleep. It was a symptom of a myocardial infarction (heart attack). The root cause was coronary artery spasm, also known as variant angina. I take medication and it is well-controlled.
My second set of symptoms are harder to explain. I began to feel anxious and short of breath, then it felt like a BAM in my chest, and I would feel better. My cardiologist placed a monitor on me, and we discovered that I have asymptomatic atrial fibrillation. I take Eliquis (a blood thinner) and I rarely have symptoms any more.
