Having angiogram fri

I am 66 woman have health anxiety and scared stiff of proceedure. I am told nothing to it and uesual to put Catheter in wrist. I had echocardiogram and sai I had mitiral regurgitation valve which is common as we age .I don't smoke or drink and excersise 30 mins a day. My sisters are 77 and 72 have no heart problems. But cardiology want just to check blood vessels. It's routine but I am worried what they will find and if need other things and how impact on life. My mind is running away with me. All started as I have ibs and get nipping stitch feeling in one side of chest excersise dosent make it worse better if anything. Bp normal I have high cholesterol 5.1 and take 10mg pravistatin other than that ok. They listened to heart dr said fine. So I am sorry to ramble on ..I'll stop now any views helpful to calm nerves xx

    1. I've had the procedure done before. It's done on the x-ray table and they will clean the area and put numbing medication on the wrist or the groin. The doctor will then put a catheter in the wrist or the groin. Then they will release dye in the catheter to get the x-ray images. Just relax, take a deep breath, and think of your favorite things during the procedure. Think positive thoughts and don't think about negative outcomes. I wish you all the best! -Olivia
